Put the supplied loft pole in the catch and turn to right
Open hatch and lower under full control of pole
Slide catch on right side of ladder to unlock 2nd section.
Remove pole from ladder
•We’ve fitted over 6000 of these Yougnmans loft ladders over the years: they just don’t go wrong, so that ‘s why we offer a 5 year guarantee.•The turn catch is important: using the pole to open the hatch means it’s always under your full control - it won’t come down too fast as it would if using a concealed push-catch.•Similarly with the ladder, you pull it smoothly down with the pole, always under your full control. It is VERY important that the catch on the right hand side clicks into position when the ladder is in the down position.
Pull ladder out as far as it goes - the catch on the side must go CLICK as it locks into place.
